First sessions are free!

Our first meeting together will be introductory: we will get to know each other, and I will ask what brought you to see me. From there, we will get an idea of how to proceed. I might ask about your history, your relationships, what brought you to therapy, if you’re having any symptoms, and what you feel like you’ve been struggling with and for how long. We will also discuss what your goals are for therapy and what you expect to get out of our sessions. My main goal throughout our sessions together is to help you become better at helping yourself.

I am a licensed mental health counselor and have been practicing for over 25 years. I’ve treated patients through the Florida Recovery Center at UF Health. Most recently, I’ve been with a collegiate athletics program for the past 16 years where I’ve had the pleasure of working with professionals, groups, individuals, married couples and athletes. I have also worked with athletes in the MLB, NBA, NFL, and U.S. Olympic teams.

Yes, everything that we discuss in a session will remain confidential as licensed therapists are not only legally but ethically responsible for protecting your privacy. This confidentially agreement is notwithstanding in extreme cases where the patient’s safety, or the safety of others, is in danger and some information might have to be shared with the proper authorities.

A Good Faith Estimate is a healthcare provider’s responsibility to display the list of expected charges for items or services they offer. To ensure we can best serve all clients, please provide at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations (under 24 hours) or no-shows will be charged $85, as this time is reserved for you. You can cancel via the patient portal.
